Seeking to Reach Younger Members, Addition Financial Adds a Tik Tok Account

LAKE MARY, Fla.–Saying it is seeking to help young members take charge of their finances, Addition Financial has launched a Tik Tok account.

The credit union noted that as short-form videos gain traction among Generation Z, it has become one of the first credit unions to incorporate financial education into its TikTok content.

“At Addition Financial, our priority is to help our members to make informed financial decisions that help them achieve their goals,” said Marketing Manager Cristina Lehman. “Through these short, digestible videos, we can educate the next generation by debunking money myths and sharing practical tips while injecting a little fun along the way.”

‘Go-To Resource’

According to AFCU, TikTok has become a “go-to resource” for Generation Z, many of whom are around high school and college-aged and working toward financial independence from their parents.

Addition Financial said its  video topics focus on credit, budgeting, renting a first apartment, demystifying banking jargon and more. The videos offer important financial advice, positioned in a relatable way to educate Gen Z and Millennial audiences.
