MASSENA, N.Y. -- SeaComm Federal Credit Union President and CEO Scott Wilson has been named CEO of the Year by NAFCU.
Wilson won in the category of $250 million in assets and above, and is being recognized for leadership and management ability; coordination and work with volunteers and paid staff; commitment to preserving staff morale and supporting staff education, and achievements and contributions to the credit union community.
“This award wouldn’t be possible without an outstanding team that ensures the credit union is operating at peak performance and is always looking to raise its own bar of excellence,” said Wilson in a statement. “I am so proud to be leading SeaComm, and each one of my staff has made my 10-plus years at the helm possible. I know I cannot only count on my employees, but my board of directors who provide me with on-going support and counsel, as well as my wife, Doreen, who has been there every step of the way during my career. Receiving this award only solidifies that this honor is possible due to having great people along the way.”
Wilson will be recognized in June when NAFCU hosts its annual convention in Seattle.
While at SeaComm over the past 10 years, Wilson has overseen growth in assets of more than $350 million, growth in membership of 37%, driven profitability exceeding that of peer group, added new services and a new headquarters, and been named a Best Company to Work for in New York eight consecutive years.
