DAVENPORT, Iowa–Marine Credit Union said it plans to close two branches, one in Davenport, Iowa, and the other in Decorah, Iowa.
“…We have seen an increase in mobile and online banking activity and a decline in in-person member transactions at the Davenport Branch,” President and CEO Darrick Weeks said in a news release.
The $1-billion, La Crosse, Wis.-based Marine Credit Union said local members were notified last week through email, mail, and in-branch communications. Members can still use all the digital services offered, as well as no-fee ATMs, the credit union added.
Marine CU said employees of the branch will be offered roles within the organization.
The credit union added it will continue to operate 17 branch locations, serving more than 75,000 members in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois.
