ALBURQUEQUE, N.M.–Sandia Area FCU has selected a new president and CEO to replace the retiring Paula Peknik, who has been with the credit union for 38 years and who was named CEO in 2020.
The $1.041-billion Sandia Area FCU has selected Kevin Todd to lead the organization. Todd is currently CFO, having joined the CU in 2014. Prior to that, he worked as a CPA in the public accounting sector, SAFCU said.
“We are proud of our exceptional growth and performance under Peknik’s leadership. We thank her for her years of dedication to Sandia Area and wish her the best in her well-deserved retirement,” Chairman Burton Clyde said in a statement on the credit union’s website. “We look forward to continued success and service to our members under Kevin Todd and are excited that the credit union’s new CEO came from within the organization. He is the right next leader for Sandia Area."
