SRP FCU Names New President and CEO

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C.–SRP FCU has named a new president and CEO.

The $1.66-billion SRP said it has selected Eric Jenkins to lead the organization effective Sept. 1.

Jenkins will succeed current interim President Woody Schuler, who will continue to serve as a consultant to the board in order to facilitate a “smooth transition” and provide support on specific projects as required, the credit union said. Shuler then plans to retire.

Jenkins has been serving as CEO of the $390-million Education Credit Union in Amarillo, Texas.

“I am honored to be selected to serve as the CEO of SRP FCU,” Jenkins said. “Very excited to partner with the board of directors and the professional staff to create significant value for our member-owners and the community.”

A ‘Servant Leader’

The credit union said in a statement Jenkins is a “servant leader with considerable experience in the credit union industry. He has worked at large and small credit unions in addition to leadership positions with the Georgia Credit Union Association.”

Jenkins holds a BS in Business Economics from the University of South Carolina. He also has certifications from the CUNA Southeastern Region Credit Union Management School at the University of Georgia).

SRP FCU has more than 184,000 members.
