SRCUS, 10 State Associations Plan to Host ‘Super-Size Symposium’ For Largest Credit Unions

NEW ORLEANS –The Southeast Credit Union Management School (SRCUS) and 10 state organizations said they will launch and host the “Super-Size Symposium” to be held Aug. 4 in New Orleans. The event is for CUs of more than $500 million in assets.

According to SRCUS, the inaugural event is designed to unite CEOs, C-Suite executives and top management from among those larger credit unions in the Southeast region of the country.

The event will be “attendee-driven so that the topics are 100% relevant to executives in the room,” organizers said.

“Conversations with peers is perhaps the most powerful resource available. However, we can get complacent when it is always with the same group of peers,” said commented Lauren DeAngelis, Chief Learning Officer of Carolina Credit Union League & Chair of SRCUS. “It can be invigorating when fresh faces are added to the mix, which is what SRCUS is all about. The ten-state collaboration fuels discussion and unveils solutions amongst a larger audience for maximum growth development.”
Although this event is hosted by the Southeast Credit Union Management School system, participation is open and encouraged for all credit unions nationwide that  above the $500 million asset threshold, the organization said.
