FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn.–SPIRE Credit Union has entered into a multi-year partnership with Minnesota Vikings Quarterback Kirk Cousins.
According to the credit union, it was apparent during the first meeting between Cousins and SPIRE President/CEO Dan Stoltz that the quarterback and SPIRE share the same values of giving back and improving lives.
Known for being a positive role model in the football community, Cousins believes he and his family have a responsibility to be generous in impacting the world around us, the credit union said.
SPIRE will also be supporting the Julie & Kirk Cousins Foundation. Over Father’s Day weekend, SPIRE was the title sponsor of the first Kirk Cousins Football Camp to take place in Minnesota at the University of St. Thomas. During the camp, young athletes not only participated in drills and had fun, but they received lessons about character and doing the right thing. Cousins has hosted his camp in Michigan for the last six years, according to SPIRE.
‘Excited to Partner’
“I am so excited to be able to partner with a brand like SPIRE, which is committed to helping people in the community live their best lives,” Cousins said.
Added Stolz, “Through his actions both on and off the field, Kirk leads with compassion and genuine authenticity. We look forward to doing great things in partnership with Kirk for the Minnesota community.”
Cousins played for Michigan State before being drafted by the Washington Redskins in 2012. He signed a three-year contract with the Vikings in 2018. Cousins will begin appearing in SPIRE television commercials and other advertising this fall.
