BATON ROUGE, La.–Two Louisiana credit unions have announced plans to merge.
The $641-million La Capitol FCU said it plans to absorb via merger the $8.7-million SAIF FCU following a vote by SAIF’s approximately 1,500 members.
Chartered in 1950, SAIF has primarily served chemical and industrial employee groups.
La Capitol FCU has approximately 51,500 members.
