Royal CU Marking Facebook Milestone With ‘Christmas In July’

EAU CLAIRE, Wis.–Royal Credit Union said it has surpassed 10,000 fans on Facebook, and to mark the occasion it is celebrating “Christmas in July.”

Each weekday through July 14, Royal Facebook fans will have the opportunity to win a prize. In order to be eligible, fans are being asked to like the post and comment on a specific question. Over $1,000 in prizes will be given away over the 10-day #RoyalGivesBack campaign, including gift cards, a wireless bluetooth speaker and a drone.

“We’ve definitely had a lot of success with our members and non-members engaging through our social media channels, and ‘Christmas in July’ has really started out strong,” said Andrea Finn, Royal Credit Union digital marketing specialist. “We kicked off this campaign on July 1 and within the first 10 minutes of the post we had 54 likes and 41 comments. Within an hour the reach was at 4,000. The first day’s giveaway closed with a reach over 15,000, 460 likes, 363 comments and 110 shares – talk about engagement!”

Each giveaway has a different question associated with it. The first one question asked fans why they like Royal Credit Union’s Facebook page.
