VANCOUVER, Wash.—A woman here who used a rented Smart car to commit her crimes has pleaded guilty to multiple robberies.
Marie Berry, 34, who was arrested in August, admitted to robbing a branch of Columbia Bank and People’s Credit Union, as well as a Shell gas station. She also robbed or attempted to rob other stores, restaurants and businesses. Police said Berry used a stolen vehicle from Car2Go, a car-sharing service in the Portland area, in committing the robberies. She was sentenced to five years and five months in prison.
