RIVERSIDE, Calif.–Police are searching for a man who robbed a credit union here after spitting gasoline inside the facility.
According to the Riverside Police Department, a man entered a branch of Altura Credit Union here in the late afternoon and passed a note to a teller demanding money. Police said he then put gasoline from a bottle into his mouth and began to spit it out. He also poured some gasoline onto a counter. The tellers in the branch are protected by a glass barrier.
The man escaped with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured, but the fire department also responded as a precaution.
No arrests have been made.
