DELRAY BEACH, Fla.—An office of IBM CU here was evacuated following a robbery in which the crook left behind a canister in the lobby.
After enter the CU holding a gun and demanding money, the crook hopped the teller counter to grabbed the cash. Before leaving with an undisclosed amount of money, the robber left behind the canister.
Employees were then evacuated.
WPFB reported that the local fire department’s special operations unit was called in and after inspecting the canister found it to be some form of pesticide. Staff stood in the parking lot for several hours.
The crook, who escaped in a black vehicle, is still at large. The FBI has taken over the investigation, WPFB reported.
