BELPRE, Ohio–Riverview Credit Union is kicking off a year-long 50th anniversary celebration.
Formed in 1968 to serve the Union Carbide Marietta Plant when the membership fee was 25 cents, the credit union has since expanded its field of membership to encompass all of Washington County, Ohio.
The $62-million Riverview kicked off the celebration at its two offices, where a free meal was offered and free giveaways took place, as did live radio remotes.
Other activities planned for the coming months and years include:
- Loan and deposit product specials from March 19-April 30
- Giving away two gift cards totaling $150 to a Riverview member each month
- Performing 50 random acts of kindness throughout the community
- Awarding the Cheryl Ann Fornnarino-Reeder Memorial Scholarship to a student attending Washington State Community College
