LONDON—New research has found 44% of Americans have been the victim of a data breach, while 37% of Canadians and 38% of British consumers have been affected, according to analysis by PCI Pal.
“Data breaches have become increasingly prevalent over the last few years, and impact how consumers interact with businesses. However, that impact may only be temporary. The study showed 83% of Americans will stop spending money with a business for several months following a breach. However, only 21% of respondents said they will stop doing business altogether,” stated LowCards.com in its analysis.
