Regulator Approves Expansion Of Ent’s FOM

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Ent Credit Union has received approval from the state of Colorado’s Division of Financial Services (DFS) to add four additional Colorado counties to its field of membership.

Ent can now offer credit union membership to individuals and businesses that live, work, worship or attend school in Arapahoe, Douglas, Fremont and Jefferson Counties. At the end of December 2015, Ent reported it had more than 15,000 members residing in these four counties.

Previously, Ent’s field of membership included El Paso, Pueblo, Teller and Denver Counties, as well as select communities in Weld, Adams and Arapahoe Counties. Ent’s field of membership expansion requests were preceded by its change to a state of Colorado credit union charter in January 2016.

“We are pleased to announce that our state regulator, Colorado’s Department of Financial Services, has approved Ent’s requests to expand our geographical field of membership,” said Randy Bernstein, Ent’s president and CEO. “This expansion will allow us to increase our geographic and economic diversity, providing our credit union with added stability during economic downturns, and will also provide increased service convenience to our members as we add ATM and service center locations in these new communities.”
