HUNTSVILLE, Ala.–Small businesses in the South Huntsville area of this city are being offered the opportunity to improve their storefronts through a new grant program offered by a credit union.
The Façade Improvement Grant Program is being sponsored by Redstone Federal Credit Union and offers small businesses and property owners in the South Huntsville Main Street District the opportunity to improve the façade of their storefront through grant funds, according to officials.
The program aims to make revitalization efforts affordable by providing one third of matching grant funds up to $5,000.
Qualifying applications must identify the source of the additional funds required to complete the project within a calendar year of award date. Interested business and property owners inside the South Huntsville Main district were also invited to attend a Façade Improvement Grant Workshop at the Huntsville Hub.
The deadline to apply for the grant allocation is October 15, 2019.
