NAPERVILLE, Ill.—The sixth winner in Alloya Corporate FCU’s “10 for 10 for 10” initiative has been named: Red Wing Youth Outreach.
As CUToday.info has reported, Alloya is celebrating its 10th anniversary, which falls on Oct. 24, by donating $10,000 to 10 charities over 10 days.
Red Wing Youth Outreach was nominated by Red Wing Credit Union in Red Wing, Minn. Red Wing Youth Outreach provides intervention, life-skills education and mentoring for adolescents at risk of facing serious challenges in their healthy transition to adulthood. Red Wing Credit Union supports Red Wing Youth Outreach through mentorship and financial education sessions that help kids develop skills that will help them for a lifetime, such as budgeting and using basic tools such as credit cards, savings and checking accounts, Alloya said.
Red Wing Credit Union serves nearly 9,000 members in Goodhue County.
“Alloya congratulates Red Wing Credit Union and Red Wing Youth Outreach for being the sixth winner of the 10 for 10 for 10 charitable donation program,” Alloya said.
The Selection Process
The 10 for 10 for 10 charity nomination and selection process is being driven by Alloya’s 1,400 credit union members, the corporate said. In total, credit unions nominated 101 charities between Sept. 27 and Oct. 8. In the days leading up to its 10-year anniversary, Alloya is announcing the winners of its charitable donation program through a daily announcement at 10:00 am CT on its website at www.alloyacorp.org/winyour10. In addition, CUToday.info will also announce each day’s winner. The program concludes on Monday, Oct. 25.
