ARLINGTON, Va.—NAFCU is hosting its Regulatory Compliance School here this week at the Crystal Gateway Marriott with a record number of attendees.
“The regulatory environment has grown increasingly complex, so it’s essential for credit unions to have a concrete understanding of the latest regulations and laws affecting their responsibilities,” said JiJi Bahhur, NAFCU’s director of regulatory compliance and NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO). “With some of the industry’s leading compliance professionals presenting, the School will be a great resource for credit unions dealing with any new compliance changes that arise.”
School presenters include Bahhur and other members of NAFCU’s highly regarded compliance team, including Bernadette Clair, NCCO, Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and senior regulatory compliance counsel; Brandy Bruyere and Eliott Ponte, both NCCOs and regulatory compliance counsels; and Victoria Daka, regulatory compliance specialist. In addition, NAFCU’s Anthony Demangone, executive vice president and COO, Alicia Nealon, director of regulatory affairs, and Celina Stewart, regulatory affairs counsel, will also offer remarks.
An entire day of the School, April 2, will be devoted to regulatory updates. The School runs through Friday.
