Provident CU To Sponsor U Of San Francisco Athletics Department

SAN FRANCISCO–The University of San Francisco (USF) Athletics Department and Provident Credit Union said they have entered into a multi-year sponsorship deal.

“The strategic partnership will enhance USF's athletic program while providing valuable services to the entire university community,” the two organizations said in a statement.

As part of the agreement, Provident Central said it will offer:

  • Exclusive product lines to USF faculty, staff, students, and alumni. This includes a $150 bonus to new checking account holders in its Super Reward Checking product, which is free and has no minimum balance, but does require $25 to open. The product pays 2.01% APY.
  • Internship opportunities for USF students 
  • Financial literacy programs 
  • Multiple ATMs located on campus

"Provident Credit Union has deep roots within the educational community and this new partnership is a perfect fit."

"This is a relationship that will provide valuable offerings, such as discounted mortgage and auto loans for faculty and staff, on-site financial education to faculty, staff, and students, along with a host of other benefits to the USF community."

The $2.3-billion Provident Credit Union was founded in 1950 to serve Bay Area teachers.
