WASHINGTON—A pro-Bitcoin national policy resolution was introduced in Congress Tuesday, spurring hopes for Bitcoin and blockchain innovation in the U.S.
HR 835 calls for a national policy that encourages the development of Bitcoin and blockchain.
NewsBTC, a Bitcoin news service, said the bill is not “specific,” adding that the proposed legislation is a “subtle hint by the House of Representatives as to how they want to see the government look at Bitcoin and blockchain moving forward.”
“With so many countries focusing on the fintech environment right now, HR 835 comes at an opportune time. There is no better time than now to focus on financial innovation, and Bitcoin and blockchain will play a critical role in the process.
