WASHINGTON–Portions of the Sept. 27 meeting of the newly reconstituted Credit Union Advisory Council to the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection will be streamed live.
Also being live-streamed the same day will be meetings by the Consumer Advisory Board (CAB), and the Community Bank Advisory Council (CBAC), which like the CUAC will be meeting at the Bureau’s Washington, D.C., headquarters from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. ET.
From 9:30 a.m. to noon, the meetings will be closed to the public. The afternoon sessions, beginning at 1:30 p.m., are the portion that will be streamed live.
Members of the public can attend these meetings in person but will need to RSVP, which can be done here.
What Will Be Discussed
When the BCFP announced these meetings, it said only that each panel would be discussing policy issues related to financial technology. Specific topics have been added, including:
- Credit Invisibles and Alternative Data: Opportunities to improve credit profiles
- Utilizing technology to prevent and respond to elder financial abuse
