Police ID Woman Who Fired Shot Inside CU Before Being Subdued by Members

BURLINGTON, N.C. – Police have identified the woman now in custody after she allegedly attempted to rob a credit union branch and fired a shot into a ceiling.

The woman was disarmed by members and held inside the branch until police arrived.

According to Burlington Police, Alicia Lynn Rickman, 28, was reportedly taken before the Alamance County Magistrate and held under a $250,000 bond in the Alamance County Jail for attempted armed robbery with a dangerous weapon and first-degree kidnapping charges for the alleged crime inside the branch of Truliant FCU.

A rifle that was used during the commission of the attempted robbery has also been seized, according to police.
