WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.–Piedmont Advantage Credit Union has selected a new CEO. The $362-million credit union has chosen Dion Williams to lead the organization.
Williams replaces Judy Tharp, who retired after 13 years with Piedmont and more than 40 years in the credit union community.
Williams, 45, has more than 20 years’ experience in credit unions, most recently at the $480-million Del-One FCU in Dover, Del.
“The core value of Piedmont Advantage is ‘Members come first,’ and we’ll continue building upon that tradition,” Williams said in a statement. “We’re committed to improving the financial lives of our members, as well as actively engaging the communities we serve across the state. It’s evident the board and staff have a servant’s heart that differentiates credit unions from other financial institutions. I’m humbled to join this outstanding team.”
Piedmont Advantage has approximately 41,000 members.
