SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — A pickup truck recently crashed through a fence and into the outdoor patio of SESLOC Credit Union here, police said.
According to the San Luis Obispo Police Department, officers responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 3800 block of Broad Street late in the evening. Investigators determined the truck left the roadway, broke through a fence, and came to rest in the credit union’s front patio area, The Tribune reported.
The driver, the vehicle’s sole occupant, was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and later booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence, police said.
“We are grateful this incident occurred after business hours when the patio was empty,” the department said in a Facebook post, calling the crash “a stark reminder of how quickly an impaired driver can lose control.”
