PHILADELPHIA–Philadelphia Federal Credit Union is reporting some of its debit cards have been breached. Members have reported unapproved charges, with local media reporting members as saying they were finding charges from “Walmart all over Texas.”
The credit union issued a statement that reads: "Over the weekend, we were alerted that a very small percentage of our members reported unauthorized use of their cards. We immediately made the proactive decision to block their cards and credit back any impacted funds."
If the reports of unauthorized expenditures in Texas are true, it would be consistent with other credit unions that have had breaches and also reported members with unauthorized expenses in the Lone Star State
