HOUSTON–People’s Trust Credit Union said it has revamped its Employee Credit Program for 2017.
PTCU said the initiative is a fresh new take on their original program mission, including a new name, the People’s Trust Promise. People’s Trust unveiled the People’s Trust Promise to its members during its annual membership meeting here.
“Its purpose is to reengage employees, fulfill our ‘Happy Un-Banking’ mission, engage our members, and increase awareness of People’s Trust within the communities we serve,” said VP of marketing and education Jessica Smith in a statement.
According to People’s Trust, its employees are promising to take 2,500 actions during 2017 by boosting their involvement in the established initiatives of advocacy, community, wellness, and education.
“Employees’ collaborative promise consists of strengthening their Happy Un-Banking mission by making a bigger impact on the future of credit unions, dedicating more time to community outreach and support, increasing their health and well-being, and continuing their education to better serve their members,” the credit union said.
Members are also being offered an opportunity to contribute to the movement. People’s Trust noted it involves the community in their mission by conducting free financial literacy workshops and seminars, shred days, and the Member Activation Program. People’s Trust said it will now build on member involvement by inviting members to volunteer, host wellness seminars, and take on several other “promising” actions. With the help of their members, People’s Trust is vowing to increase their Promise from 2,500 to 3,000 credits before year’s end.
