ALEXANDRIA, Va. –Three people have been banned from credit unions by NCUA.
As a result, the individuals named below are permanently prohibited from participating in the affairs of any federally insured depository institution.
- Jennifer Baker, a former employee of United Neighbors FCU, Watertown, N.Y.
- Nellie Gray, a former employee of Mississippi Central FCU, Morton, Miss.
- Leah Lehman, a former employee of Southern Pine Credit Union, Valdosta, Ga. Lehman is the former president/CEO of the credit union who was charged in a civil lawsuit with allegedly embezzling $5.4 million from the then $42-million credit union, which spent nearly two years in conservatorship. The credit union alleged in a lawsuit the theft took place over a 17-year period and also involved former Controller Teresa Paulo.
