ALLENTOWN, Penn.–People First FCU has named a new president and CEO. The credit union has tapped Howard Meller to lead the organization and succeed Jeffrey Albert, who is retiring after 30 years with People First, the last nine as president and CEO.
Meller has since 2013 been serving as president/CEO of GHS FCU in Binghamton, N.Y.
Meller began his career in the financial services industry with Bank of America as vice president and consumer marketing manager before moving to SunTrust Bank in Virginia, where he was senior vice president/area manager responsible for 14 branches.
The $724-million People First, originally chartered to serve employees of Mack Trucks, has more than 72,500 members.
