CINCINNATI—After 57 years of leading the co-operative, Patrick Taylor has retired as CEO of General Electric CU.
Timothy Ballinger, who has been part of GECU for more than 20 years, succeeds Taylor, who continues in his role as secretary/treasurer on the board.
“General Electric Credit Union has had the privilege of great leadership for the past 57 years,” said Ballinger in a message on the $2-billion CU’s website. “Patrick Taylor dedicated his life to serving our credit union, its employees and members, and the entire credit union industry. His belief in providing exceptional member service combined with his vast knowledge of the industry was a huge contributor to the success of GECU. I am honored to be following in his footsteps.”
Noting his 20 years with GECU, Ballinger said he is “excited to move the organization forward. With the executive management staff and other professionals, we will carry on the credit union philosophy and work toward the continued growth and success of the organization.”
