DUBLIN, Calif. – Patelco Credit Union said employees are set to begin moving into new headquarters in early December following an extensive remodel of the building.
Patelco purchased the building at 3 Park Place in Dublin, Calif., which the credit union purchased last year to accommodate its rapidly growing workforce “while furthering its mission to improve the financial health and wellbeing of its members throughout northern California,” the credit union said.
Patelco purchased the building in June 2018, saying it offers a number of attractive benefits. It is located within 1.5 miles of its previous headquarters but with closer access to public transportation, including BART, along with a greater variety of restaurants and community shopping options. 3 Park Place also features workout space, outdoor facilities and sufficient room for Patelco to continue growing, the credit union said.
“Our laser focus on our mission and commitment to improving our members’ financial health and wellbeing has resulted in us outgrowing our current facility,” said Erin Mendez, president and CEO of Patelco Credit Union. “The larger office space is a proud reflection of not only our team’s efforts in serving our members, but the larger space will also help our team members lead balanced lives, thanks to its more convenient access to public transportation, shops, restaurants and additional outdoor space.”
Year-Long Remodeling
Patelco reported it has spent the past year remodeling the building to accommodate its workforce, which now includes more than 750 team members, of which 340 “and counting” will work from 3 Park Place. The remodel also includes private offices for members to meet with financial health counselors from its branches, along with classroom space for Patelco and its non-profit partners to provide financial wellbeing classes and seminars for the broader community.
Patelco said it will host a community open house in January for the public, once the transition is complete.
The $7.3-billion Patelco has approximately 350,000 members.
