SPRINGFIELD, Ill.–Heartland Credit Union has partnered with the with Sangamon County (Ill.) Circuit Clerk Joe Roesch’s office to offer a convenient passport registration day to the public.
Passport agents from the circuit clerk’s office will process passport applications from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday June 8, at Heartland Credit Union’s Saint Joseph St. branch. The organizations said the usual passport fees will apply.
“We are pleased to partner with local banks and merchants to provide community outreach events,” Roesch said in a statement. “Through these events, we hope to make the process of applying for a passport more convenient for everyone.”
What to Bring
Those who come to the credit union to apply are being reminded to bring:
- Certified copy of birth certificate (no photocopies or hospital certificate)
- Valid photo ID
- Approved passport photo or “come ready to get your picture taken”
- Certified copies of court orders for name change, custody or adoption decrees
- Two checks or money orders to pay applicable fees
