PSCU Employee Gets to Rock On Stage

SAN FRANCISCO–Talk about living on a prayer…

Myles Bristowe, VP of Marketing Stratey for PSCU in St. Petersburg, Fla., got to jam on stage and play a Bon Jovi hit after being among the winners of a contest sponsored by Rocksmith. Rocksmith is a music video game that teachers people how to play the guitar. The game can be played on Xbox One, PlayStation and on laptops and home computers. Bristowe, who started from scratch, practiced using the video game for several years before creating a video and entering the contest. His video was chosen and he was invited to play the legendary Slim’s stage in San Francisco. The concert marked the fifth anniversary of Rocksmith.

Music has quite a presence at PSCU. The CUSO’s Rockovate program, which uses the tagline “Band Together,” blends rock music and innovation, all in the spirit of team building, diversity and inclusion.

The program has become so popular that the original band has now split into two, representing 40 members drawn from 18 PSCU departments.
