SEATAC, Wash.—The Northwest CU Association is reporting that during 2014 Oregon’s CUs raised nearly three times the political action fundraising goal that had been set for the state by CUNA.
According to the NWCUA, credit union advocates in Oregon raised more than $112,000, a $12,000 increase over last year’s total and 274% of CUNA’s goal for the state.
In Washington State, CUs raised over $50,000, for a total Northwest contribution of over $162,000. In 2015 the NWCUA is introducing different award levels for donors who give certain amounts. Donors who contribute $100-$249 annually will receive a bronze pin; those who contribute $250-$499 annually will receive a silver pin, and those who contribute more than $500 annually will receive a gold pin. All of the pins are designed with the state seal of the donor.
