WICHITA, Kan.—James Nastars, CEO of Meritrust Credit Union here, was voted “most admired credit union chief executive” in a poll conducted by the Wichita Business News.
The publication has been conducting similar votes for other “most admired” chief executives across a number of industries. The WBN urged readers when voting to consider factors such as someone who's a good leader with great vision, someone who is helping a business achieve financial success, or someone who fosters a positive work environment and gives back to the community. Nastars took over the state’s largest credit union in early 2013 after previously being SVP with University FCU in Austin, Texas.
