LONGVIEW, Wash.–Red Canoe Credit Union here shut down its data systems and online banking systems for three days, with its branches and call center remaining closed today.
Beginning June 1 and through today, Red Canoe said it is undergoing a data system conversion that began at 6 p.m. (PST) on Friday. Members were urged to note their balances prior to that time and to “Keep track of your spending over the weekend to make sure (you) don’t overdraw your account.”
Debit and credit cards still worked during the upgrades, and automatic payments and transfers went through, the CU reminded, adding members were also able to withdraw money from ATMs but won't be able to check account balances.
According to the $809-million Red Canoe CU’s website, as a result of the conversion:
- Online/mobile banking will have an updated look.
- Members will be able to view eStatements and Alerts in the mobile app
- Account Type (S1, S9, etc.) will now appear as a four-digit Loan/Share ID
- Monthly statements will have a new look.
- All credit card payment due dates will move from the 16th of the month to the 25th of each month.
