BASKING RIDGE, N.J.–Affinity Federal Credit Union has launched new “Revolution Spend” and “Revolution Save” accounts aimed at members ages 17-24.
The Revolution Spend account frees up members ages 17-24 from “oppressive checking fees and enables them to stay connected to their money with free convenience features,” such as no minimum balance, no monthly service charges, and no debit card fees on all purchases, according to Affinity FCU. Account owners can also access their accounts fee-free at 65,000-plus in-network ATMs and receive $10 per month in out-of-network ATM fee rebates.
The Revolution Save account features no minimum balance and no monthly service charges. The current APY for balances up to $2,500 is 1.25%, and 0.25% APY for balances over $2,500.
"We're very pleased to offer these new accounts to our student members," said Affinity Federal Credit Union president and CEO John Fenton. "Given today's vastly fluctuating economy and uncertainty surrounding the future of social security, it's never too early to teach young adults about good financial practices. The Revolution accounts are great foundational tools for our members who are just beginning their financial lives."
The $2.3-billion Affinity FCU has 135,000 members.
