GOLDEN, Colo.–On Tap Credit Union has introduced a new self-paced financial literacy resource for members called Tips on Tap.
Using resources provided by Enrish, Tips on Tap offers thousands of online materials spanning financial education to career development to continuing education, with the materials including articles, videos, courses, interactive games, and budgeting calculators.
"Based on recent brand surveys, we’ve come to find about 10-20% of our membership is asking for an educational platform that will provide financial literacy on their own time, not a scheduled seminar or event,” said On Tap Credit Union President and CEO Tracie Wilcox in a statement. “The new tool is an interactive, easy-to-use learning experience for anyone to take at their own pace and benefit from the lessons or action items presented in the curriculum.”
According to On Tap, upon initial sign-up of the platform the member is prompted to take an in-depth financial assessment that evaluates their strengths and opportunities. In turn, the platform provides the user with personalized courses specific to their needs. Courses include how to minimize financial stress, teaching financial education to children, buying a first home, understanding a credit score, and more.
32 Calculators
The credit union added that one of the top features on the site are the 32 different interactive calculators that address various scenarios, such as life phase.
In addition, Tips on Tap also offers curriculum outside of financial literacy, such as entrepreneurship, internships, networking, career development and much more. The resources are free to members.
