Ohio HealthCare FCU Selects New CEO

DUBLIN, Ohio – Ohio HealthCare Federal Credit Union has named Christy O’Connell president/CEO.

O’Connell has been with the credit union for 14 years, serving most recently as the credit union’s COO and executive vice president. She succeeds Bill Butler, who has retired after 20 years of service.

"The board of directors is pleased to announce Christy O’Connell as our new president and CEO," said Thomas Kelly, board president. "We are looking forward to working with her as she leads our organization toward the future."  

O’Connell began her career with Ohio HealthCare FCU in 2004 as the CFO.

“She has been an integral part of the senior management team for fourteen years, helping the credit union grow from a $25 million financial institution to its current $83 million in assets,” the CU said.

O’Connell has more than 30 years of experience in credit unions, focusing on planning, organizational development, administrative management, and strategic partnerships, according to the credit union. Ohio HealthCare said she has managed day-to-day operations for back office processing, member service, accounting departments, and loan departments, the CU said.
