AKRON, Ohio–GenFed Financial Credit Union has named a new CEO. The credit union has selected Mike Doran to lead the organization, succeeding Joyce Jones who has retired after more than 40 years with the CU.
Doran had previously served as a volunteer with GenFed, including over ten years as an Audit Committee Member and two years as the Audit Committee Chair.
Doran spent 17 years working for GM Financial (previously Americredit) as the regional sales manager and area general manager at GM Financial.
The credit union, with more than 24,000 members, began its life serving General Tire & Rubber Co. in Akron, Ohio, and now also has branches in Indiana and Illinois.
