EUGENE, Ore.—The Oregon Employment Department said its systems have been breached and that records involving 851,322 individuals could be affected.
The agency said that it has no indication that any personal information has been misused. The OED said it will be mailing information offering identity theft protection to customers whose information may have been compromised by the security vulnerability to the WorkSource Oregon Management Information. It has also set up a hotline, and is urging customers to reselect and answer security questions, and to reset their passwords when accessing a WOMIS account.
