DECATUR, Ala.–The Princess Theatre Center for the Performing Arts here has received a $250,000 donation from Redstone FCU.

The funds are to be used for renovations to the theater’s loft space, theater and education programming, and to add a digital display board to the marquee.

The contribution was made by Redstone FCU President/CEO Joseph Newberry to theater Executive Director Anne Scarbrough.

According to Scarbrough, the theater plans to spend about $90,000 on the 5,100-square-foot loft space and a new elevator to the loft. Another $44,000 will add a digital display board to the marquee.

Scarbrough said a digital message board and display cases are needed so the theater can better promote its events and promotional partners.
