MADISON, Wis.—Nominations are open for World Council of Credit Unions’ (WOCCU) 2023 Digital Growth Award, which will recognize one or more member credit union associations or member credit unions for successfully working toward the associations Challenge 2025 goal of “expanding digital transformation across the globe.”
According to World Council, nominees must show they have implemented a digital solution(s) that is:
- Inclusive. It expanded financial inclusion by reaching members of underserved communities.
- Innovative. It was groundbreaking for the organization by reducing costs, streamlining operations or improving member experience.
- Scalable. It can be scaled up for use or replication by other credit union associations or credit unions in your country or region.
“With the Digital Growth Award now in its third year, we hope to see more nominations than ever before,” said World Council President and CEO Elissa McCarter LaBorde. “We are excited to showcase how credit unions are using innovative digital solutions to reach underserved populations and to build resilient communities across the globe.”
An independent panel of judges with expertise in credit unions, microfinance and digital financial technologies will evaluate all nominations and select the winners, WOCCU said.
Digital Growth Award recipients will receive one free registration (per person or organization) to the 2023 World Credit Union Conference (WCUC) in Vancouver, Canada, July 23-26. Awards will be presented during World Council’s Annual General Meeting at WCUC 2023 on July 24.
