New York Credit Union Expands To Community Charter

HUDSON, N.Y.–The $31-million Columbia Greene FCU here has announced it’s expanding to a community charter. The credit union will now serve everyone in Columbia and Greene counties, New York.

“We’re extremely excited our team will now be able to serve all the people who live, work, worship or attend school in the two counties,” President/CEO Victoria Marrone said in a released statement.

According to the statement, Marrone said many areas in Greene County have been severely “unbanked.”

Marrone said the credit union makes it convenient and easy for members to handle all their financial needs with a very friendly, knowledgeable staff and superior on-line services such as a mobile app and website.

Marrone said the credit union is especially renowned for new and used auto, truck, and RV loans, as well as refinancing of members’ existing vehicle loans from other financial institutions.

It also offers an “Anything” loan that can be used for any legal purpose, including debt consolidation, income taxes, home improvements, anything at all.
