New York CU Association Inducts 3 People Into Hall Of Fame

LAKE GEORGE, N.Y.–The New York Credit Union Association has inducted three people into its Hall of Fame. ‘

Inducted were Thomas J. Powers, president and CEO of Hudson River Financial FCU in Mohegan Lake; Marsha Brauer, most recently CEO of Clarence Community & Schools FCU in Clarence, and Rick Mantey, most recently CEO of Ulster FCU. The induction took place during NYCUA’s Annual Meeting and Convention.

Powers, who has been president/CEO of Hudson River Financial FCU since 2006, has spent more than 40 years in credit unions, with more than 30 years in a variety of senior management and executive roles.

“It is truly an honor to be recognized by the New York Credit Union Association – as well as my industry peers and close friends – with this induction into the Hall of Fame,” said Powers. “I am proud to have worked in credit unions and make a positive difference in the lives of so many members, and appreciate the support of all the members and colleagues I’ve had the pleasure of working with, particularly the board, staff and membership at Hudson River Financial.”

In addition to his role as at Hudson River Financial FCU, Powers has spent the past nine years volunteering as the president of the Westchester/Rockland Chapter of Credit Unions, and has served on many other boards and committees throughout his career.
