NEW YORKâOne in every 99 emails is a phishing attack, a new report reveals.
According to Avanan, a cloud security platform company, phishing and spoofing attacks continue to be a widespread threat.
The company said its Global Phish Report, which analyzed more than 55-million emails across a variety of industries, found over the past decade phishing attacks have become the most widespread email threat to affect organizations, advancing in sophistication and evading detection. Of the attacks analyzed, 25% bypassed Office 365 security, and more than half contained malware, noted NAFCU in its analysis.
Avanan warns that these numbers are likely to increase as hackers take advantage of known vulnerabilities and design new methods.
