McKINNEY, Texas–A new online service portal that provides credit unions with shared business intelligence resources has been launched. The new endeavor is being headed by Michael Cochrum, known to many in credit unions for his work at CU Direct.
Called CUBI.PRO, Cochrum said the new company is designed to help smaller institutions, including credit unions, collect data and provide meaningful business intelligence outputs in order to remain competitive with larger providers.
“The market is replete with analytics technology solutions, promising to provide meaningful data insights,” said Cochrum, who is CEO of Creative Market Resource Group, the company that is offering the outsource business intelligence services though the online portal, CUBI.PRO. “What’s missing is the time, and often internal expertise, to glean meaningful business information from those technologies.”
Cochrum has nearly 30 years of financial services experience, 20 of those working specifically in and with credit unions. Cochrum said he is confident that CMRG’s CUBI.PRO offering will help credit unions bridge the gap between reality and technology.
“What we want to do is engage with credit unions early in the data journey and ensure that they are covering all the basics, while simultaneously providing the needed business intelligence and analytics, before introducing technology challenges into the process,” he said. “Then, we will be in the right position and have the right amount of internal knowledge to help them choose the right path into the future.”
