JACKSON, Mich.– CP Financial Credit Union has launched what it said is a newly designed exclusive product: Michigan Made Checking. It is available to all Michigan residents.
According to CP Financial, Michigan Made Checking features five reward tiers named for the Great Lakes and is a point-based account. Each month, members can earn points on activities and relationships connected to their account, with the total number of points earned during each reward cycle determining the reward tier. Reward tiers offer varying dividend rates and allow flexibility for members to move between tiers after each cycle based on their activity, the credit union said.
What Members Wanted
“With the recent change in our state charter and being able to provide membership to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in the state of Michigan, we wanted to celebrate and name this product after our great state,” said CEO Chrissy Siders. “We found that our members wanted an account that would offer dividends, ATM refunds and no monthly fees or minimum balance as well as free mobile and online access. The Michigan Made account offers all of that and is another example of CPFCU delivering on its purpose, mission, vision and values with an account that provides members the opportunity to craft the return that fits their story.”
The $566-million CP Financial CU has more than 57,000 members.
