New E-Book On Tax Service & Tax Agency Relationships

FOND DU LAC, Wis.–Info-Pro Lender Services has published a new e-book, “Tax Services & Tax Agencies: Better Together.”

“As a bank or credit union, an important part of your responsibility is coordinating with your local tax agency to obtain property tax amounts and due dates for your borrowers,” the paper notes. “As you undoubtedly know, this is not always an easy task and can sometimes be quite challenging for internal staff to handle. For that reason, many institutions (perhaps including yours) outsource this duty to a tax servicer. That third-party vendor is responsible for providing you the tax information you need (when you need it) in order to ensure your borrowers’ taxes get paid on time.”

What’s essential in the process, the publication states, is that tax servicing companies establish great relationships and work proactively with tax agencies, and the e-book examines how tax servicers who work closely with the tax agencies provide better service to lenders.

“Working with a tax servicer can greatly benefit a lender during tax time,” the e-book notes. “Collecting and managing tax amounts and due dates is a complex tax, and there is peace of mind to be had by outsourcing this responsibility.  However, not all tax servicers are created equal, and not all of them will provide the same quality of service, accuracy, efficiency and cost-effectiveness. One of the key indicators of a quality tax servicer is their approach to working with the tax agencies.”
