WASHINGTON–The new Democratic members of the House Financial Services Committee have officially been named.
The committee will be keeping a "watchful eye" on financial regulators to ensure they punish bad actors and do not weaken key regulatory protections, said the committee’s new chairman, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA).
As CUToday.info reported here, the new members of the House committee are expected to change its focus, which was largely on deregulation in the previous Congress when the committee was controlled by Republicans.
