GLASTONBURY, Conn.–Digital payments company Payrailz said it has changed the name of its recently launched CUSO from CU Payz to CU Railz.
The company said the change seeks to support Payrailz’ brand consistency as it continues to grow.
“Payrailz decided to make this change because the name CU Railz better reflects the CUSO’s relationship to Payrailz’ products,” the organization said. “As the CUSO brings the Payrailz payments platform to credit unions, the company sought to clarify this by including ‘railz’ in the name. This new name also better illustrates the variety of payments rails available through Payrailz’ platform like real-time payments and Mastercard’s Bill Pay Exchange.”
The company said the change will also help support continued growth by more closely aligning the CUSO with Payrailz, as the “company has a strong presence and reputation in the credit union space.”
According to the company, the formation of CU Railz came out of a working relationship with established CUSOs MDC and Constellation Digital Partners.
CU Payz includes six founding member CUs: Coastal CU, Farmer Insurance FCU, Georgia’s Own CU, Meritrust CU, Teachers CU, and TwinStar CU.
